Andrea has switched to a 3/8"up-spiral straight bit and is now setting the two swivels to the 6.5 angle gauge. She will also set the button location to the number she had found to work when she made her prototype last week. The arrow points to the board she had cut with the setup dovetail. She also had marked the position that had given her a tight fitting pin. |
She uses a scrap of wood to cut one sample pin to make sure that the settings she recorded are the ones that work. They are this is a tight fitting dovetail. |

It takes but a minute or so for her to cut the pins on the ends. |
It should be noted that even though she "batch" cut the sides, when it comes time to make the pins, she uses the specific tail section to guide her cuts. This way, she is customizing each pin cut to allow for any possible variation of the specific tails end. |

This is the "bottom line" a drawer with nice fitting dovetails. |

I think Andrea's expression says it all. Her words were "that is so neat." |

She
holds one of the drawer fronts in place to get a feel of what the final drawer will be
like.
