Some "work-arounds" for the Incra Miter Gauge

As I have reported on this site a number of times that I like what the Incra Miter Gauge brings to the table saw — accuracy, in a word.
Recently I read several comments about the gap between the Incra Stop and the fence. I always thought this gap was to allow sawdust not to build up and screw up the repetitive cutting.
It is true that if you are cutting the second miter, that the first corner will slide into the gap and screw up the accuracy.
In an earlier story, I said the way around this is to use a small back board of 1/4" ply to hold t he workpiece away from the fence and not subject to the gap.

Since then I have done two things to give me absolute repetitive cutting accuracy. The picture at right shows them. First, I have added a simple piece of 1/4" ply against the stop. I use double stick tape to hold it in position.
And if you look closely, you will see that I have put 150 grit PSA tape along the entire wood fence. This works very nicely to keep the workpiece from creeping.
I get perfect cuts each and every time with this setup.
