New Tool Review - "Festool Multifunction Table - some minor changes and additions."

As I start to use the Festool Multifunction Table, I can see things that I would do differently or, at least, add to the table.
The most obvious one is to add a steel pressure sensitive ruler to the fence. Fact is, I can't think of any tool in the shop that I haven't added a similar tape. I start by snipping off the first inch. I was going to have a one inch setback like I have on the other fences. As I started to position the fence, I saw that I would have to come up with a different offset.

I am about to remove the pressure sensitive paper and lay it in place, but first want to double check the placement. I have unloosened the two position bolts and have slid the fence so that it about 1/4" away from the kerf line (#1).
Then I slide the adjustable fence stop (#2) until it is 3" away from the kerf edge (#3). With everything locked at this point, I can slide the tape until 3" reads on the right side of the stop (#4). As you can see, it is offset from the actual stopping point but once the tape is affixed, I can adjust the stop until the measure I want is at the right side of the block. The tape would have been difficult to read if I lined it up with the stop itself.

I was very careful in setting the tape exactly as I wanted it, but I can double check and make slight adjustments very easily. I have set the ruler so that the right end is on the edge of the kerf. I then bring the stop up to 12" and move the fence until the stop is touching the ruler. Then I lock the two fence bolts (arrows.)
Next week I will shoot all the clamp accessories that I have either bought or made to make use of the holes in the table.
