Page 2 to "A Domino Scrapbook Page   (all photos courtesy of the Swenson's)..."

I noted with interest that the first page of the Swenson Scrapbook post had tremendous interest. There is nothing like when a real craftsman speaks.
Here are some pictures he took during this last week.

Very nice, crisp mortises. Both mortises were registered from the bottom of the rail (top in this picture.)
   In Per's words "
Upside down the rail is flat enough. I just used the pins. What I did do is cut all the large (8x50mm) first. Then adjusted the fence for the smaller 5 mm domino."

This is an interesting glue up. Study the picture and you can see how Per was able to pull long sections of molding stock together. The question has to be: how tight was he able to get the joint?

These were heavy 12 ft sections, too. That is one very tight joint. Picture perfect it is. I don't know whether to praise the Domino System or Per and Bob.  Actually, the success of this joint is the result of all three. There can be no other explanation.

The Swenson's use the Festool LS130 EQ Linear Sander with a "do it yourself" sanding pad. They can use this and some of the standard shapes to finish sand the graceful curves of the bar rail.

Bob did this carving and is now flowing in an epoxy  surfacing mixture to bring it level with the bar itself. What a nice touch.

Have you ever seen such fantastic work? One view after another.
At the rate that these guys perform their artistry, we should be getting high gloss finish pictures very soon. We will post them with their permission.
You may miss Elena, Andrea, Marieanne and even me, but this has been a page of real people having real successes.
My thanks once again to Bob and Per for letting me post this success story.
