Special Feature — Dovetail Jig 'ShootOut'  (through dovetails only)

   I am asked so often to answer the question:
    "Which dovetail jig should I get?"
   It's a fair question — just one that I can't answer without asking a whole bunch of other questions. Even then, my answer would be very subjective. There are a lot of very good dovetail jigs available to us. If they can help me make good dovetails — I like them.
   I call it a  shoot out — that sort of gets your attention.  But, at the end of this effort, I do not expect to name "The Editor's Choice."  I will try to detail the pros and cons of each jig.

 I will also try to include these factors:

  1. How easy it is to learn;
  2. How good are the instructions;
  3. The quality of the final dovetail;
  4. The quality of the jig; and
  5. Special pluses and minuses;

   And of course, there will be the usual step-by-step of both getting the jig ready and making the joint.

Dovetail Jig Menu

It is not physically possible to review all the jigs at once. To review them properly, we will
 probably do one every other week. This menu is created to list the jigs alphabetically. The
order that jigs are reviewed does not constitute a preference.
