Use the miter block to hold the pieces and move the rails from left to right over the bit. A back up block is used to minimize tear-out. |

Flip piece over and cut the other side. Test the fit. It should fit snugly without being forced. Make minor adjustments by using the crossfeed crank. Then cut all ends. |
Next, we will raise the bit 3 1/2 turns and cut the bottom side of each end. This will allow the dovetail to fit the shaped dovetail channel of the leg. |
