The illustration in the operating instructions shows
how the bit depth should be set. Once this depth is set, no further changes are
required.

The straight bit is mounted in the exact same
fashion.

Now it's time to mount the boards to the jig. I first place the
jig upside down flat on the bench with the open end of the forks towards me.

Next I
take two boards marked for corner number "1" and place them to the outside of
the tail board which is facing me and the outside of the pin board is on the other side
facing out. Both tops are facing to the right. If this sounds a bit confusing at first,
the diagram makes it very clear.

Now I can place the boards on the KatieJig in that configuration
making sure that the top of each board is up against the left hand edge stop. (On the even
number corners, "Tops" are placed against the right hand edge stop.)
